Turkey Patty Melt

Luckily, they are simple to prepare as well, making them a great option for an easy weeknight meal everyone will love.

Prep Ingredients

4 tbsp Butter
6 Slices Sourdough Bread
1 Package Ferndale Market Turkey Burger Patties
3 Slices Swiss Cheese
1 Yellow Onion
Salt and Pepper

Thinly slice the onion.

Heat a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-low. Add sliced onions. Cook 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.

Remove onions from skillet and set aside.

Season turkey burger patties with salt and pepper. Cook in skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Add a slice of cheese to each burger patty and remove from skillet.

Butter one side of each slice of sourdough and assemble the sandwiches, adding caramelized onions to the top of each patty.

Add the patty melts to the skillet and heat over medium for 3 minutes on each side, or until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown.

Slice each patty melt in half and serve hot.
